"ART FOR A CAUSE" OPENING NIGHT
Galerie Joaquin The Centre Gallery, San Juan September 25, 2007 |
The Rotary club of Makati Bel Air launched the "Art for A Cause" painting exhibits, its major fund-raising event this year, last Tuesday, September 25, 2007. No less than the distinguished Governor of D3830, Ato Magadia, an art lover himself, formally opened the affair.
The painting exhibit at Galerie Joaquin, one of the country's premiere art galleries, included art works by world-class artists Juvenal Sanso, Ramon Orlina, Mario Parial, Lydia Velasco, Carlo Magno, Dominic Rubio, Vincent de Pio, Gig de Pio, Aileen Lanuza, Glenn Cagandahan, Tito Espanol, Aldrino Abes and Rene Marbella, who all graced the event that evening.
We thank Gov. Ato, PP Joji Tan, Pres. Louie Vega, and our own RCMBA members CP Sonie, PP Charo, Dir Arlene, Rtn. Roland, and all who have purchased paintings and patronized the exhibits and made its opening day a successful and memorable event. In the club's efforts to support its adopted Gawad Kalinga (GK) community in Welfareville for its literacy, health, livelihood programs, "Art of a Cause" will run until October 4.
