D3830 POLIO PLUS + + PROJECT LAUNCH

Notes from DS Ric de la Torre:
Just came home from the launch of the POLIO PLUS + + Program initiated by your classmates Sharing Presidents Isabelle Gonzales, Rico Ocampo, Elynn Gorra, and Erwyn Alcomendras at Makati Sports Club. A MOA was signed among the participating 20 clubs and DOH represented by by NCR DOH Director Asuncion Anden. The guest of honor was PDG Oskie de Venecia who is the RI Coordinator and Prime mover for Polio eradication in the Philippines. Considering the importance of immunization, not only from polio but other diseases as well, we urge all the clubs in District 3830 to participate in this program which is highly beneficial particularly to children in our beneficiary communities."
Our year of service ends on June 30, 2008 and DG Ato enjoins all the Sharing Presidents, not to slow down to "graduation mode" but to gear up for a strong finish. What better way to do this than participating in the Polio Plus + + program and protect the children from health hazards. PDG Oskie announced that DG Ato has allocated US$19,000 from his DDF fund to support the Polio eradication campaign.
