RCMBA CO-HOSTS "ROTARY GIVES HOPE" CHILDREN'S EVENT
Dec. 4, 2008 at Tom's World, Robinson's Galleria, Ortigas Center

RCMBA, together with D3830 Cluster 1 clubs RC Makati Guadalupe (RCMG, as lead host) and RC Makati (RCM), jointly held the “Rotary Gives Hope” event where 100 children from the Center of Hope in Baseco and Payatas, and 75 special children from the Independent Living and Learning Center, were treated to a special christmas party at Tom's World Amusement Center at Robinsons Galleria last December 4, 2008, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The beneficiaries were mostly 5 to 7 year-old under-privileged children supported by teachers, volunteer workers, parents and guardians who all came to enjoy a whole morning of fun and entertainment.  The children were given free tokens and unlimited rides by Tom's World Amusement Center.

“Jr. Newswatch” TV host Janeena Chan volunteered to read a book, sing songs and make the day special for all the children and taped the activities for her TV segment that will be aired on Dec, 27, 2008. “One Morning” show hosts Claudine Trillo and JM Rodriguez also taped their Christmas Day segment during the event.

Rotarians who gave away Christmas present to the children include RCM Pres. Larry Boyer, RCMG Pres Raffy Yllana and RCMG members Johann Sy, Eric Aniban, Vic Alfonso and Obet Bleza.  The gift pack consist of slippers, toothbrush, various school supplies, toys, food and snacks, courtesy of generous sponsors.
