RCMBA ATTENDS RC TEMERLOH INSTALLATION
July 17, 2010, Temerloh, Central Pahang, Malaysia

The Rotary Club of Makati Bel-Air (RCMBA), represented by Pres. Robbie Bonoan and IPP Roland Zurbano, attended the installation (induction) ceremonies of its sister club, the Rotary Club of Temerloh (RCT) of District 3300, Malaysia, last July 17 at the Centrepoint Restaurant in Temerloh.  Temerloh is a town in Central Pahang, Malaysian Temerloh District located about 130 kilometers northeast of Kuala Lumpur.

The RCMBA/RCT sister club agreement was signed last March 18, 2010 at the Resort World, Pasay City where then D3300 District Governor Leslie Salehuddin, together with other Malaysian delegates, came to Manila to attend the D3830 District Conference scheduled the following day.   In its 35-year history, RCT never had a foreign sister club and RCMBA was honored for being the first.

RCT’s officers for RY 2010 is led by Pres. Liew Fook Hung.  The event was attended by IPDG Leslie Salehuddin and many government dignitaries and prominent businessmen to include Temerloh Police Chief ACP Ahmad Fadzillah, State Assemblyman Syed Hamid, State Assemblyman Dato Chuah Boon Seong and Member of Parliament Dato Saifudin Abdullah, among others.  Also present was the Interact Club of a high school that RCT sponsors.

Pres. Robbie and IPP Roland extended their invitation to Pres. Liew and his officers to attend the RCMBA’s induction on August 31, 2010, which they gladly agreed to.
