RCMBA ROTARACTORS ATTEND D3830 NEW GEN 2010 September 25, 2010, University of Makati, Makati City
Fifteen members of the RCMBA-sponsored Rotaract Club of GK Welfareville attended the District 3830 New Gen 2010 Conference held on September 25, 2010 at the University of Makati. They were accompanied by Pres. Robbie Bonoan and New Generations Director, Noi Alunan.

New Gen is a district-wide annual youth assembly organized by the D3830 New Generations (Youth) Service Committee, headed this year by District Coordinating Chair Chito Calixto-Chavez (RC Makati Jose P. Rizal), to provide the young a venue to strengthen their values and practical knowledge to better prepare them for their role as future leaders of society. New Gen 2010 is chaired by PP Brigs Merin of the Rotary Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas, the lead-host club, headed by Pres. Marivic Del Pilar. It was co-hosted by 13 other clubs from D3830.

This year’s event, with the theme “Wisdom of Winners” is the first ever with a nationwide scope having other New Gen conferences simultaneously held in the cities of Makati, Palawan, Cebu, Tarlac, Bacolod and General Santos, all linked via real-time Internet webcast, with a combined attendance of over 1,200 students.

Aside from the usual youth fun activities, presentation numbers, raffle prizes and free lunch, the highlight of the conference was the impressive line-up of guest speakers who discussed inspiring, yet challenging, topics for the kids, as follows: Butch Salvador, owner of Car Magic, who spoke on "Winner sa Negosyo - from Nothing toSomething" ArunGogna, a lay preacher, who spoke on "Winner sa Relationships - Healthy Relationships and Sexuality" Noli Eala and the Smart Gilas Team, who spoke on "Winner sa Teamwork - Winning Through Teamwork" Mayor Lani Cayetano of Taguig City, who spoke on "Winner sa Youth - Empowering Youth to Build and Lead Better Communities" The RCMBA Rotaractors have truly enjoyed the whole day affair and are excitedly anticipating the next year’s New Gen conference.
