RI AWARDS RCMBA'S RVOTE

RCMBA was placed in the limelight when its RVOTE, the District 3830 Advocacy for Voter Education project implemented last RY 2009-10, was awarded Model Vocational Service Project by Rotary International along with 2 other projects from D3830 clubs.
The awards were presented by Immediate Past District Governor Sid Garcia last October 26, 2010 at the Great Eastern Hotel in Makati City. The other 2 clubs were RC Makati Cristo Rey and RC Muntinlupa Central for the “Ethical Leadership Roadshow” and “Super Pinoy Kids” projects, respectively. The 3 winning projects were chosen among other vocational projects from 32,000 Rotary clubs around the world. Philippines reaped the awards and we are proud that they all came from District 3830.

 RCMBA is the lead host of RVOTE, which was chaired by PP Nenette Aseniero. It was implemented district-wide as a campaign to educate voters prior to the last national elections on May 10, 2010. With Rotary venturing into electoral politics for the first time, RVOTE forums were held with national candidates as guest panelists. Each event was covered by GNN TV Network, which helped promote Rotary’s public image.
Receiving the award for RCMBA were PP Nenette Aseniero, IPP Roland Zurbano and Pres. Robbie Bonoan. PP Nick Pelaez and IPP Rene Aclan received the awards for RC Makati Cristo Rey and RC Muntinlupa Central, respectively. Indeed, it was a shining moment for the awardees and the proud members of the three clubs, who witnessed the event.
