The day-long activity was organized through the partnership between District 3830, the Department of Natural Resources (DENR), SLEX Tollways Corporation, Career Executive Service Board (CESB) and Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) of Metro Manila and the Laguna venue’s concerned Local Government Units (LGUs).
An excellent example of private-public sector partnership, hundreds of participants joined to plant 1,350 Golden Shower and Palawan Cherry Blossom tree seedlings donated by the DENR. The activity has attracted high public awareness before and after the event, as news stories appeared in Malaya, Manila Bulletin and Philippine Daily Inquirer, among other mass circulation newspapers.
D3830 Past District Governor Jimmy Cura gave a brief opening remarks in behalf of the district. RC Makati Rockwell, led by Pres, Eph Despabiladeras, was the lead host club and responsible for putting together the necessary components to ensure the project’s success. |
