RCMBA, RCMSM HOLD GATAS PANGKALUSUGAN PROJECT

RC Makati Bel-Air (RCMBA) and RC Makati San Miguel (RCMSM) jointly conducted Gatas Pangkalusugan, a milk donation project for the benefit of 46 Gawad Kalinga Zontaville families and 34 Sibol preschool students from GK Zontaville and GK Welfareville, last August 30, 2011 at the GK Zontaville site in Welfareville, Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.

Gatas Pangkalusugan involves the donation of Enfalac infant milk formula made possible by RCMSM. RCMBA was fortunate enough to have its community chosen as a beneficiary of RCMSM’s milk donation program. The turnover was attended by RCMSM Pres. Nanette De Lara and RCMBA Pres. Tanya Lumanlan assisted by Dir. Noi Alunan, who always serve as RCMBA’s liaison with the Welfareville community.
It has been quite some time since GK Zontaville got help in the area of nutrition from a service organization. Thus, the community leaders Kuya Noel and Ate Norma were very thankful for Rotary’s milk donation that will help address their children’s nutritional needs.
The communities in Welfareville have long been the beneficiaries of RCMBA’s community services covering Rotary’s areas of focus in Literacy and Basic Education, Community Development, Disease Prevention, Maternal Health and Child Care, and Water and Sanitation.
