Napoleon I (1769-1821) French general and emperor (1894-15). Born in Corsica; married Josephine Beauharnais (1796) and Archduchess Marie Lousie of Austria (1811); reformed the French legal system with the Code Napoleon; exiled in Elba, defeated in Waterloo by British and Prussians, then exiled again in St. Helena.

In Harold Dacumos, the Club has found not only an excellent President, but also its very own Napoleon Bonaparte. Like Napoleon, he rose from relative obscurity, to become architect and master tactician for projects and campaigns, bringer of glory and victory, and an inspiration to those he served and led.
Forces were arrayed against us but following Harold’s banner, we in RCMBA marched on and conquered our Prussians and British (and helped poor and abused children with scholarships and learning materials). We vanquished our Austrians and Russians (and empowered women through livelihood programs). We marched against our Spaniards and Italians (and provided houses to those who poverty has exposed to a merciless society).
And if Bonaparte appointed himself “Emperor of the French” and his kin as kings of countries, Harold appointed himself our servant and made us, his fellow-members, feel like kings of countries, through the District successes he continuously brought to our doorsteps. And throughout his term, his Josephine remained the Cause of Fellowship and his Marie Lousise, the Principle of Service.
But unlike Napoleon, Harold is exiled not to some lonely Isle of Elba or St. Helena, to waste away in loneliness, but in our hearts, there to be cherished by those he served so well. And that is why President Harold will never have a Waterloo!
